RTR: Video eCommerce

The concept of video or television commerce or "tcommerce" as it is sometimes known (and more recently as "vcommerce") has been around as long as the cliche "Someday, I'll watch TV and be able to buy Jennifer Aniston's sweater." Platforms to enable this sort of behavior have come and gone with dismal success. Today, however, in the age of broadband TV, there are new content creation platforms emerging every day to enable vcommerce (on the Web) and tcommerce (set-top boxes) because they are able to hook into a backend transaction platform online or are working directly with the cable and satellite operators through EBIF technology.

THIS REPORT looks at the terms "Video eCommerce" in order to see at how these terms are being discussed by the average person who might be interested this sort of thing, but not know the industry terms "tcommerce" or "vcommerce."
