Kind of cool, but not THAT great

This was fun... for about 30 minutes. The animation and reactions are remarkable, and the dino really does "guard" an area, and come to you when called. Just be sure there are no other noises around to compete with your voice. He is kind of fun for when my daughter's friends come over and to chase the dog with. But don't expect too much excitement, he is very slow.
My son loved this dinosaur

I had got this for my son's big christmas gift. My son is only six but this was one of the best gifts that we had ever bought him. And almost one year later Dino is still a hit at out house and he has been lots of places with us and my son loves him. Dino is a pet that sleeps all night and you don't have to clean up a mess after him which is nice.
LAYTEX DRY ROTS

Ok...I fell for it's cuteness, being a dino fan all my life. I bought it for my daughter for Christmas. She lost interest and it sat for months....I picked it up today-10 months after buying it and the laytex is cracking and breaking all over. The corners of the mouth ripping, legs cracking, chin sticky and losing elasticity.....if you are thinking about it-think harder. The ones that have been sitting in hot warehouses all summer will be damaged. They need to issue a recall on these. I won't buy another laytex anything unless it's a balloon.....
Ate My Kid

I got D Rex for my kid. He was real happy while it was still contained in it's box. I was happy to buy it for my son altough I had a difficult time paying off the loans I took out for D Rex. After selling my Vehicle to afford batteries for D Rex I was exicted to finally turn him on and wtach my sons eye light up with amazement!! However I was horrfied as to what happend next Rex came to life and started to eat my son I WAS PARALYZED WITH FEAR! I stood helpless while D Rex Ravaged my 3 year old! I then tried to shut D Rex off only losing my right hand in the scuffle. I then began to run luckly D Rex has not mastered walking forward correctly. After D Rex ran low on battery power I took him back to Toys R Us. I was very Angry YOU BET! I talked to the manager!! I now have 2 Loans, no Vehicle, and one partly digested 3 year old. Learning to type with my left hand is very difficult and not to mention using my face to click the mouse.
It's a Great Toy! just becareful and read the warnings!

In the garbage already

My 7 year old son had this for about a month and we threw it out already. He wanted to pet it and he gently rubbed the head a few times. The hole for the sensor on top of the head split and there was about a 1 inch tear. I picked it up to move it a few days later and it ripped about another 4 inches. I used tacky glue to fix it and next time my son picked it up the "skin" on the back split right open"
The rubber skin was realistic looking and feeling but was not at all durable.
